We are a specialist Iris and Daylily nursery. As you can see from the map we are located south of Adelaide where the Adelaide Hills meets the Fleriue Peninsula. Because our climate is a little cooler than that of Adelaide we tend to be later with our peak bloom time. The best time to visit us and see our irises in full bloom is the last week of October and the first week of November. Pacific Coast iris, Dwarf and Intermediate bearded iris bloom early in October. The Japanese iris bloom November - December.

Ivar and Carol began the business almost twenty years ago. We employed Brett four years ago and he is a most valued member of the team.

Annually we produce a colour catalogue that includes a letter to customers giving them an update of our activities for the year.

Two years ago we diversified and became distributors of Universal Rocks, ponds and waterfalls. We also distribute House of Bamboo and Garden Trend products. Carol has given up her teaching career and now works full time, with Brett, in the nursery and marketing these products. Ivar is still a teacher but does nursery work and installation of ponds on weekends and during school holidays.

We can now be contacted at Munn's Garden and Lawn Centre, 700 South Rd Glandore where one of us will be available seven days a week to offer any assistance in relation to irises, daylilies, ponds and waterfalls, bamboo products and granite lantern garden ornaments.

Why grow irises or daylilies?

Irises are called the rainbow flower because they have the widest range of colours of any garden plant.
Varieties range from semi-arid to water loving; some thrive on alkaline soil whilst others prefer an acid soil. Most prefer full sun while others enjoy a shaded spot in the garden. All are hardy, easy to grow and will reward you richly.

There is a variety to suit every garden requirement and careful selection will ensure flowers for several months of the year. Most are spring flowering.

Daylilies have very similar requirements to irises and they flower in summer. Some varieties will rebloom in the autumn (as will many tall bearded iris) therefore giving almost constant bloom throughout summer and autumn.

Irises and Daylilies warrant a place in every garden.
